Mr Rold introduced Italian cuisine and thin crust pizza to San Rafael when he opened up Villa Romana in 1973. Many San Rafael residents still remember coming to his restaurant when they were little kids.

We appreciate chef David Haydon and his son for taking the time to support our restaurant. His reputation in the Marin County has been impeccable at Il Davide since 1995. We love his larger-than-life personality and philanthropy efforts in the community.
